Mac Climbs Moses' Mountain.

Today, Mac and I rode a camel up Mt. Sinai.  Mt  Sinai is Moses mountain.

When Moses was leading the people of the Exodus through the desert,  they came to a place in the mountains that was protected.  It was a valley surrounded by mountains.  The people camped, while Moses tried to figure out what to do next.

Well,  Moses decided he needed some help.  So he climbed up the mountain and sat in the quiet and he waited.
The Bible teaches us what happened next.  About how Moses heard God's voice,  felt God's presence, and  learned a great deal.  This is the place where Moses learned about God's 10 commandments.    This is the place where Mac and I  and thousands of people everyday climbed up to the top of the mountain to watch the sun rise.  Because  we know that sometimes we need help, too.  And we know that when we sit in the quiet and wait,  we will also hear God's voice and feel God's presence,  and learn a great deal.

It was pretty special to see the sun rise from Moses' mountain.   But it makes me remember that every day the sun rises, and every day thousands of people climb Moses' mountain.    And every day any of us can remember, where ever we are,  that  God is with us,  is a pretty special day.  Whether we are on Mt. Sinai or in our own homes in Calgary
