Mac woke up today in a wiggle of excitement! As soon as his eyes opened his nose started to twitch with excitement! In 7 days, Mac will be getting on a plane to begin his adventure following the footsteps of Moses, traveling from Cairo, in Egypt, through the Sinai desert. He will climb Mt. Sinai, where Moses received the 10 commandments, and through Jordan to Mt. Nebo, where, after 40 years, Moses stood and saw the river Jordan, and the promised land.
From there, Mac will be on the trail of Jesus, going to Nazareth and the Galilee region. He will sail on a boat on the 'sea of Galilee' and stand on the mount where Jesus taught. People call what he said 'The sermon on the Mount.'
Mac is pretty excited. He just knows that the sights and sounds and smells of Egypt, Jordan and Israel will be exciting. I guess I should take him for a walk. Otherwise, all that excitement will keep him from getting any sleep tonight!
